Mother's Day Contest Winner
Congratulations Rachel Marple on winning the Mother's Day Contest!
This is a beautiful story about one amazing Mother! Rachel was kind enough to let me share her story with you all...
MY MOTHER
The year of 1957 was when one of the strongest and most pleasant woman I have ever known was born, which just so happens to be my extraordinary mother; the one and only Mrs Marianne Marple.
My mother has scarified so much to ensure her children and grandchildren have always had a safe and warm place to rest their heads at night. Nana, as the grandchildren would call her, has struggled with an illness known as Lupus for most of her life. It is an autoimmune disorder which affects many vital parts of the body. She has suffered from this illness for as long as I can remember. No matter what pain she endured, she kept quiet, no complaints, always finding time and energy to have playtime with us as we fought over whom was going to get Barbie with the pink dress…LOL. She showed us girl’s to share and that everyone will get a turn, and now it’s her turn. I want to make this Mother’s Day memorable!
She has been married for 37 years to my father Gary, which shows her dedication and has taught us to work things out, even when you don’t think you can. If you’re honest, only good things will come your way in life, that’s her famous quote and I love hearing it! Guess what, she was correct again….
What makes my mother so special to me is this;
She is the master of every task, a dependable source of comfort and extremely strong willed. Her inexhaustible love for animals is self explanatory if you go to visit her home in Coboconk, which we have named the “funny farm”, due to her 4 cats and her crazy little doggy….LOL. She’s a woman of substance, with an over sized heart giving back to the community through her volunteer work with the Agricultural Club and Royal Canadian Legion.
She believes in me, when I don’t believe in myself and I couldn’t be more proud to call her not only my mother but my best friend.
Her Loving Daughter,
Rachel Marple

Thank you so very much for the wonderful session with us Marple girls. The day was perfect, just to spend the time together was nice. Mom seems to always be our center of attention and I am so greatful that she had the time to shine in all those shots. Can't wait to see them. Thanks again
